Avsadjanov Nikolay Georgievich

(born in 1955) graphic artist, educator

 Born on September 19, 1955, in Grozny, Chechen-Ingush ASSR. Since 1969, he has lived in Stavropol.

1970 - 1974 – studied at the Stavropol Regional Art College in the design department (graduated with honors)

1974 - 1979 – studied at the Karachay-Cherkess State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Fine Arts and Graphics (graduated with honors)

1979 – employee of the Museum of Fine Arts

1979 - 1981 – served in the Soviet Army (chemical troops, city of Chita)

1981 – started working at the creative and production complex of the Stavropol Art Fund of the RSFSR

Since 1979 – a regular participant in city, regional, zonal, and republican art exhibitions

1989 – accepted as a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR

(recommended by Androsov V.D., Sokolenko A.E.)

 

2001 - 2004 – taught at the Stavropol Art College 2005 - 2009 

 

Since 2004 – works at the Stavropol Institute of Economics and Management named after O. Kaznacheev (Associate Professor of the "Design" Department)

At the beginning of his creative path, participated in zonal exhibitions "Soviet South" (1979, 1984); zonal exhibition of young artists "Breadbasket Region" (Rostov-on-Don, 1983).

Republican exhibitions:

For the 60th anniversary of the USSR Navy (Moscow, 1984);

“Soviet Russia” (Moscow, 1985);

For the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution “Artist and Time” (Moscow, 1987)

 

During the early period of his work, three pieces by the artist were purchased from official exhibitions and are held in the museum collection:

Graphics: Vesovaya. 1987, color etching, 44 x 44 (Inventory No. 16561) SG (St. Art) - 716;

Milk Farm. 1987, color etching, 26.5 x 30 (Inventory No. 16562) SG (St. Art) - 715); Painting: Combat Towers of Chechen-Ingushetia. 1991, oil on canvas, 50 x 73 (Inventory No. 23545).

In 2001, the museum acquired a series of 12 sheets "Zodiac Signs" (color etching, watercolor, 15x15), (NVF - 825).

Since the late 1990s and into the 2000s, the artist has combined teaching with creative work, participating in exhibitions; creation of etchings and work in the inkarelle technique (engraving on cardboard), mezzotint are things of the past. Landscapes and portraits of the last decade (2000 - 2010) are done in pastel technique.

These are views of the Caucasus and Stavropol in different seasons and portraits, mostly female.
