Veronika Tartakovskaya

Nika Tartakovskaya – (Tartakovskaya Veronika Yuryevna) born on October 22, 1972, in Kemerovo (Siberia). 

 Daughter of a Soviet Army officer. From a young age, she studied in art studios, schools, and colleges. Her father saw a Great artist in his daughter; Nika found it very easy to complete assigned tasks in painting, which is why her attitude toward painting was not serious. Nika Tartakovskaya is an aesthete who sees beauty in its various manifestations. For a long time, she was engaged in hairdressing art, coloristics, interior design, teaching, icon restoration, and event organization. She performed as the lead top stylist at the vintage dress collection show by DIOR at the Olga Makeeva gallery. Nika worked for many years as a stylist in her own beauty salon, creating unique looks, and she is also the author of unique haircut and shaping techniques. 

 After a twenty-year break from painting, she began creating paintings again in 2010. Within six months, she independently organized her first solo exhibition “All About Love” at the Artists’ House venue in her hometown.

The style in which Nika paints is spiritual-philosophical; the goal of this style is to convey to society the “purity” of the paintings. These works carry only a positive charge and harmony, which inspires their owner. 

Nika has a very delicate sense of color and loves to combine several techniques on one canvas. 

Traveling to different parts of the world to fulfill orders for collections, she seriously studied the differences in local energies and their influence on internal rhythms, which resulted in the creation of the art meditation training “Development of Personal Power.” Nika’s paintings are very diverse, and it is barely possible to guess the hand of a single master, which is directly related to the fact that the works were created in different corners of the planet. For example, in Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Burma), the energy is dense and viscous. The works there are vivid, saturated, in pure colors. 

In Kazakhstan, in the mountains of the Medeu reserve in Almaty, crystal-clear energy flows fascinated with their transparent lightness, resulting in works done in a complex glazing technique. In many Siberian cities (Kemerovo, Biysk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Gorno-Altaysk, and many others), spontaneous, dynamic, expressive canvases were born, yet with the deepest philosophy.

The author’s works from the capital strongly differ from their predecessors in dynamics and complexity of color solutions. The city’s energies change sharply, overlap, and speed is felt. On this, the restless Nika does not stop; she seeks new solutions and opportunities to express her aesthetic worldview. And she gladly shares this truly radiant energy with the whole world.

Currently, the artist lives and creates in Russia, Sochi.
