Born on November 17, 1986, in the Soviet countryside, in the village of Panovo, Shatkovsky District, Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky) Region. At the age of 11, he enrolled in the Stupin Art School in the city of Arzamas.
There, I received my artistic foundation and completed my studies in 2003; in the same year, I graduated from the 11th grade of a general education school. In 2003, I entered the Arzamas State Pedagogical Institute, which I graduated from in 2008.
However, my sense of beauty led me to work as an advertising designer. Alongside this, I returned to painting and, realizing that painting from photographs is a dead end for an artist, I consciously went out to plein air painting for the first time. This marked the beginning of my further development as an artist. The experience of plein air painting, literature on painting, copying works of great Russian landscape painters, as well as mentorship from Alexander Ivanovich Segin (a Moscow collector of Soviet landscape painting, art historian, and painter), formed the foundation of my paintings.
My creative path is imbued with love for my homeland, its architecture and legends, and adherence to the traditions of Russian realism and impressionism. The greatest influence on my work came from the landscape painters of Russia’s golden age, such as Levitan, Savrasov, Shishkin, Polenov, as well as contemporaries like Yuri Vasendin, Vasily Khudyakov, Vladimir Kirillov, and others.
