Natalya Mustaeva was born in the village of Sherguyal, Mari El, in a family where the traditions of the Mari people held a special place. From an early age, she was introduced to folk customs and beliefs. A strong influence on her development was her education at an art and music boarding school for gifted children,
which she entered at the age of 10. After successfully graduating from the boarding school, Natalya enrolled in the Vasnetsov Art Institute, where she earned a degree as a ceramic artist.
Her professional career began in the folk art craft "Gzhel," where the artist worked for eight years. Later, she devoted more than 20 years to printing and design.
Today, Natalya Mustaeva is a freelance artist, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, and a resident of the Red Gallery. Her works are held in galleries and private collections. In her art, she draws on the heritage of her ancestors and strives to convey through her paintings the special energy inherited from the Mari ethnos.
