Olga Gurevich's unique worldview, absolute fearlessness in plastic solutions, and powerful execution make her work striking and memorable. Olga is an artist with a vivid individuality and impeccable taste—always true to her sharp, ironic, and sometimes harsh perspective on the world. Over time, as the artist develops, themes, approaches to painterly language, and palette may change, but this personal viewpoint and attitude, which the artist conveys to the viewer with extraordinary persistence, remain constant. Olga Gurevich is one of the few women artists who does not seek contemplative landscapes or romantic subjects; on the contrary, her favorite characters are mechanisms, constructions, living and non-living animals, monuments, grids—everything that primarily carries plastic information. Olga seems to extract a clear structure from the visible world and, after strict selection, strings only what is necessary onto it, guided by something far from narrative. For heightened expressiveness, Olga removes the superfluous that does not work for the image, while the remaining elements are supplied with unshakable plastic connections; expressiveness is also achieved through fearless use of color. Forced (in recent works—almost to the point of conventionality) color and texture, rigid rhythmic compositional constructions, analysis, and subordination of the visible to the logic of necessity are the hallmarks of artist Olga Gurevich. Member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. Graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art School named after 1905, Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. Workshop of Academician Pavel Fedorovich Nikonov.
