The works are held in private collections in Russia and the USA.
Living in a city of tall buildings, underground roads, and highways, I constantly want to look into its foundation, the foundation of life on which it arose – the pristine nature and its interaction with us.
Being on the move, living in the age of technology, we are forced to look straight ahead, often at arm's length, without having time to glance around or lift our eyes to the sky, to the clouds. Clouds are the same world, a part of our life, just as dynamic, changeable, and restless. The sky is the repository of all colors, all moods and variations, metamorphoses that occur in nature with a thinking being – with you, with me. It is no coincidence that they say: "To rest, to gather your thoughts – just look up at the sky." And I would add: "You don't need to think about anything, just gaze into this endless silence."
The paintings I create came from that feeling imposed on you by the big city – a desire for space, an awareness of the boundlessness of the life surrounding us and its impermanence.
