David Manakyan

Country: Russia ·Born in 1961

David Manakyan was born on January 2, 1961, in the city of Maykop. He graduated from the art and graphic department of the Kh. Abovyan Pedagogical Institute in Yerevan. He has a second higher education from the Komitas State Conservatory, vocal department. He was a soloist at the Helikon Opera in Moscow and the Krasnodar Musical Theater. Currently, he is a soloist at the chamber musical theater in his hometown. Thus, he is engaged in two fields of art – music and painting.

  Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2002, member of the International Association of Fine Arts-AIAP UNESCO. Participant in republican and regional exhibitions, as well as personal exhibitions.

  10th interregional professional competition of fine art works.

  Laureate of the 12th interregional professional competition of fine art works Biennale-2015. Awarded for the creation of works dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.

Winner of five exhibition projects by Mikhail Shemyakin: “Scream in art”, “Monsters in art”, “Hand in art”, “Chair in art”, “Calligraphy with text”.

The works of David Manakyan are held in the North Caucasus branch of the State Museum of Oriental Art in Maikop, as well as in private collections in Prague (Czechoslovakia), Moscow, and Krasnodar.

3rd prize awarded at the Republican exhibition-competition “Excellent Bechkan Horse”, painting category, 2019.

3rd prize in the Republican competition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory Day, painting category, 2020.
