Biography

Alice Cârǎstǎu is a contemporary Russian artist whose work unites spiritual meaning, the poetry of color, and a fine intuition for form.

Born in 1987. She lives and works in Russia, in the space between tradition and new visual practices.

In her childhood, she practiced fencing and horseback riding — disciplines that shaped her sense of movement, strength, and inner balance. These qualities later became an integral part of her artistic language.

After receiving an art education and experimenting independently with airbrushing, Alice began to paint with oil and acrylic — first on walls and interiors, then on canvas.

Her works beautifully combine the precision of line with the softness of light, merging religious subjects with the modern plasticity of color.

Artistic Language

Alice’s works are quiet revelations.

She creates paintings where line becomes prayer, and color becomes breath. Her palette is distinctive: gentle powdery and ochre tones, soft blues and smoky violets, sometimes highlighted with a flash of gold.

Her themes are sacred, philosophical, and natural. The artist often turns to Quranic stories, Islamic symbolism, and the imagery of light and inner peace.

Every work carries a message: Feel before you paint.
