Elena Nabatova is an abstract artist, born in the Moscow region in 1959. Her work is a bold combination of techniques and styles, where mix media art intertwines with oil and acrylic painting. Elena strives to capture the pristine beauty of the surrounding world, whether it be the familiar landscapes of the Moscow region, the vast expanses of space, the mysterious depths of the ocean, or the inner universe of a person. In her works, one can recognize familiar forests, sunsets, and sunrises, refracted through the prism of abstraction, texture, and impressionism, which makes them truly memorable.
Elena’s artistic journey began with painting lessons that brought her immense joy. Soon she realized that she wanted not just to follow instructions but to create her own original works. In 2024-2025, Elena actively attended master classes and courses with renowned artists and educators such as Olga Bazanova, Natalia Yurshina, Adelina Akbirova, Alexander Shatale, and art producer Marina Petrova. She independently studied various techniques, worked with texture paste, striving to master as many methods and materials as possible. Thus, Elena became a self-taught artist skilled in a wide range of mixed media techniques. She draws inspiration from the works of Claude Monet and Alexey Vaulin.
Since 2025, Elena Nabatova has been actively participating in exhibitions and art residencies, exploring the art space. Her works were presented at the exhibition-fair “Куда с Добром!” at the art residency “Маскага”, at the International Exhibition in Paris organized with the support of the Russian House as part of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of Saint-Exupéry, as well as at the International competition-festival “Italian Evenings in Russia,” where she was awarded the 3rd degree laureate.
Elena Nabatova is the recipient of numerous awards, including laureate titles of various degrees at international competitions and festivals, as well as a diploma and the Nika statuette "For Love and Devotion to Art." Her works have been published in the magazine “Художники России,” "Art Visual journal," the catalog of the Art residency "МАСКАГА," the electronic catalog of the exhibition "Среда," the catalog "Премия Пикассо," reviewed by art historian Oksana Uteva, displayed as part of the “Heavenly Gallery” project on media screens in Moscow, and featured on the portal “Наследие нации.” The artist actively shares her work on social media and participates in charitable projects, donating her paintings to various organizations.
