1981 - graduated from Art College in Leningrad.
I was born in St. Petersburg, USSR.
In 1981, I graduated from the Leningrad Art Сollege. In 1993, I moved to Israel. I have participated in many group and solo exhibitions. My works are in private collections in Israel, Russia, Germany, France, and the U.S.
My love for abstract art began in Israel. Before moving to Israel, I was a realist painter and never imagined that my consciousness would change so drastically.
Abstract art is still a mystery to many people. Abstract expands human consciousness. Combinations of dark and light, warm and cold, large and small – a dot, a line, a stain – a small arsenal of means through which rhythm, dynamics, and harmony are created.
A painting that I consider complete is one that inspires a sense of harmony. That feeling is like a melody in which every chord is in the right place. I consider abstract to be the most “capricious” and unpredictable form of art because good abstraction is rare and cannot be artificially created. Just like music, really.
