Self-taught artist, online painting classes
Julia Vassilieva, a self-taught artist, lives and works in Moscow, Russia.
She has been pursuing her artistic practice since November 2021, choosing acrylics as her primary medium.
Julia adores experimenting with textures and actively explores upcycling techniques in home décor.
Her particular passion is observing the ever-changing sky, which has inevitably materialized in a series of works called "Celestial Satin" (Облачный атлас).
Creating a painting is always an experiment, Julia says, as well as a very close emotional connection with the subject.
Each of her paintings is an echo of the period she lived through while creating the picture.
The main subjects of her paintings are marine and natural landscapes in an abstract style.
