Borodin Viktor Mikhailovich received a fundamental artistic education. First, at the Krasnoyarsk Art College (1983-1987) in the Department of Painting, and then at the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute in the creative workshop of easel graphics under the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor V.P. Teplov (1994-1999). The artist is primarily known for his beautiful drawings in various graphic techniques. He has achieved considerable success in xylography, gouache, and watercolor. His style is characterized by virtuosic mastery of brushstrokes, impeccable taste, well-organized composition, and a light, artistic approach to execution. One of the unique features of Borodin's work is his creation of graphic series. Each piece expresses a distinct mood on its own, and together they form a cohesive melody. The artist imbues these works with such a sincere and personal touch that they acquire profound philosophical significance. Behind each work lies a long, careful selection process and a search for the most acute and expressive compositional solution, demonstrating the author's maturity.
From 2006 to 2024, Borodin V.M. served as Chairman of the Graphics Section of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union "Union of Artists of Russia." Thanks to his high level of professionalism and dedication, he successfully implemented a number of large-scale creative projects, including the touring exhibition of graphic art "Tunguska Star" in St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk, which featured leading artists (2008, 2009), as well as the regional graphic art exhibitions "Pastel" (2015, 2017). Borodin is a regular member of the exhibition committee for regional and national exhibitions.
For his outstanding achievements in the field of fine arts in the Krasnoyarsk Region, Viktor Mikhailovich Borodin was awarded a diploma by the Regional Department of the Russian Academy of Arts for the Urals, Siberia, and the Far East (2012), a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region (2011), an honorary certificate from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation (2013), and a silver medal from the Union of Artists of Russia for "Spirituality.
