Vladimir Davydenko

Vladimir Davydenko

Country: Russia ·Born in 1966

Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Born in 1966 in Lipetsk. He received his initial knowledge of drawing and painting at Children's Art School No. 1 in Lipetsk, after which he decided to devote his life to art.

In his works, the artist continues the traditions of the Russian realistic school and the Itinerants – Repin, Kramskoy, Levitan, Shishkin. From the early period of his career, Vladimir Davydenko paid great attention to studying the legacy of these masters and mastered their painting techniques.

A regular participant in regional, provincial, and all-Russian exhibitions, as well as solo shows.
Vladimir Davydenko works in various genres, combining the high professional qualities of a landscape and marine painter, painting portraits and works on biblical and historical subjects. When depicting people, the artist pays special attention to the psychology of the images and skillfully conveys the full complexity of the model’s emotional states.

The artist succeeds in creating symbols of Russian nature. They are so recognizable that it feels as if you remember this forest edge or that river from childhood, and you have seen these landscapes more than once.
Looking at his canvases, you feel: a little more – and a thunderstorm will begin, or it has just rained, the sun has come out, and the friendly singing of birds can be heard throughout the area. The meticulous elaboration of details, inherent in Vladimir’s artistic technique, helps achieve great realism and expressiveness in the depiction. For example, the snow on the artist’s canvases is not just multicolored; it seems “alive.” Sometimes sparkling and fluffy, sometimes wet, eaten away by heavy, dirty thawed patches. The air and water elements painted by the master are perceived as similarly textured. A sea wave with a fan of hissing foamy splashes and the serene surface of a river backwater have such an effect on the viewer that they feel like a witness to what is happening. Only a few succeed in such an inimitably vivid and tangible reproduction of nature.

The artist excels in still life, portraits, and complex genre works. Such versatility and multidimensionality characterize the artist as a true professional and creator. Vladimir Davydenko is convinced that the heights of mastery can only be overcome through constant work and a self-critical attitude toward one’s own creativity. This approach allows the artist to improve his skills and move forward. Every year, the range of his artistic preferences noticeably expands. This is noted by his fans and fellow artists from different countries.
