I am a professional artist.
I live and work in Moscow. I paint with oil in various styles; my favorite technique is that of the Dutch Masters, involving multilayered painting. I am especially proud of my work in Tsarskoye Selo, where I fully decorated (in the chinoiserie style) more than 100 square meters of silk to adorn the walls of the tea lounge of Tsar Alexander I in the Catherine Palace (Tsarskoye Selo). I also painted a furniture set for the same museum. Currently, I am working on another project for Tsarskoye Selo, this time for a different hall. The painting of curtains (147 meters of silk) already decorates the Chinese Hall of the Zubov Wing, while the upholstery painting on the armchairs is not yet finished. The love for Eastern graded silk painting and the Dutch Masters may not seem very compatible at first glance, but in reality, the approaches remarkably resonate with each other. It is a love for detail, vividness, multilayering, smooth brushwork, and the meditative process of creating images.
