Alexandra Kazantseva (b. 1994) is a rising contemporary artist whose works are filled with deep philosophical meaning and emotional resonance. Having completed courses in painting, design, and composition at an art school and received additional education in interior design at the Saint Petersburg School of Design, Alexandra brings a thoughtful, interdisciplinary approach to her art.
Working primarily in oil and soft pastels, her works are known for their delicate textures, emotional subtlety, and poetic symbolism. Alexandra believes that the painting process is a meditation: “The fewer thoughts I have while painting, the more I connect with the essence of the artwork.” This introspective process leads to the creation of artworks that encourage viewers to reflect on themes such as love, kindness, family, and deeper questions of existence.
Alexandra’s artistic mission is clear: to bring light and meaning into the lives of others. “When I see someone find joy in a painting I created, I feel like the happiest person on Earth,” she says.
Her works have gained recognition both in Russia and abroad. She is the recipient of several awards, including 2nd place at the Mellow Art Award 2020 (Japan), as well as awards from Art Show International (USA) and the Dali Mustache competition (Spain). Her works have also been featured in selected collections on major art platforms such as Saatchi Art, Singulart, and Artmajeur.
Alexandra’s paintings have been exhibited worldwide—in Serbia, Turkey, Egypt, Mexico, the USA, including the exhibition “Word about the Russian Heart” in Beijing and a solo exhibition at the Varshavka Gallery in Moscow. Among notable group exhibitions is “The Element of Water,” curated by RA ART at Gostiny Dvor in Saint Petersburg.
With each canvas, Alexandra Kazantseva invites her audience to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the essential truths of existence. Her work is a quiet force—profound, sincere, and deeply human.
