My artistic practice is an exploration of different states. Working at the intersection of media—from painting and tactile papier-mâché sculptures to digital and stop-motion animation—I create visual worlds for each theme. My experience as a set designer in theater has taught me to think and find an expressive language in a variety of materials.
I do not dwell on one aspect of being but honestly explore its multifaceted nature. Therefore, my projects develop in several independent, yet equally important directions:
"Dreamers" – a series of works about inspiration, reverie, and inner strength. Through dynamic compositions and a soothing palette, I speak of a state of complete presence in life, when a person feels their connection with the world and the ability to accomplish.
"The Society of the Spectacle" is a visual study of personal choice. Society and the individuality of a person who, entering into conflict with society, remains true to themselves, choosing conscious alienation for the sake of their uniqueness. For this universe, I use the harsh language of graphics and a contrasting tricolor (black, white, red). Collecting paintings from fragments of graphics.
"Cyrillic" – an immersion in the Russian cultural code and memory. Here, visual tactility through papier-mâché sculptures gives a sense of the native and familiar, creating a bridge to modernity, opening up the mystical, chthonic symbolism of images.
My art is an honest response to the complexity and fullness of life. It is an invitation to the viewer to see different facets of reality: from personal inspiration to universal cultural archetypes and the challenges of modern society.
