Gennady Kornyshev
began his artistic journey at Vasily Surikov’s Art School in Moscow.
From there, he was directly admitted
to the renowned Stroganov Institute of Art in Moscow, where he gained
expertise in disciplines such as Graphic Design, Illustration, and Production
Processes, alongside continuing his Fine Arts studies.
After completing his education, Savva worked in Moscow as an Illustrator, Graphic
Designer, and Art Director for various newspapers, magazines, and a publishing
house. Simultaneously, he continued his work in Fine Arts painting.
His work was selected for exhibition at several Moscow galleries,
most notably a solo show at the prestigious Krymskaia Shore
Boardwalk gallery.
He was then invited by the Klasky Csupo animation studio to work in the
United States as a Development Designer on various television and feature film
projects.
Since then, he has worked at animation studios such as Walt Disney Studios, Warner
Brothers Studios, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Fox Animation, and Rough Draft
Studios, to name a few.
Savva resumed his artistic career in the USA with the Apexart gallery of New York in 2007.
Since then, he has participated in numerous group shows. In 2013, he held a solo show, “Savva. Golden Edge,” at ArtRu Gallery, Moscow.
In 2015, Savva opened a solo show, “Rules Of Memory,” at PhotoLoft Gallery
(Vinzavod), Moscow. A solo show, “Monitorisation,” took place in 2016 at
Nashyokin Gallery in Moscow. Two of Savva's works were exhibited at
Tretyakovskaya Gallery as part of the “Wave's Theory” show in the fall of 2016.
Since then – several group shows and ArtRussia 2024 and 2025.
