I was born and raised in Saint Petersburg. Since childhood, painting has been my passion; in my free time from studies and sports, I would pick up the paints and create.
After graduating from the institute, I took private painting lessons from instructors at the Stieglitz Academy, and later studied under the renowned artist and academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Roman Lyapin.
Since my youth, I have been deeply concerned with the spiritual aspect of any creative work. I greatly enjoy immersing myself in that state of creative flow when you seem to disappear, and the flow itself creates through you; at that moment, you don’t think about how to convey the subject but intuitively select colors, and the painting seems to be born on its own. In such moments of inspiration, I am overwhelmed by feelings of love, beauty, and harmony, and I want to convey all of this onto the canvas to share these emotions with those who will view my paintings. My main source of inspiration is the unfathomable beauty of nature; it is from nature that I learn and study how harmoniously it creates color compositions and explore how color combinations affect the viewer’s emotions.
I use various materials for my paintings (acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor); I enjoy mixing and experimenting. My paintings are held in private collections in the USA, Europe, Russia, and Dubai.
