Antonia Pylaeva is an artist whose work reflects a deep connection with nature, cultural heritage and family values. After receiving professional art education in St. Petersburg under the guidance of Elena Dmitrievna Artsutanova, a recognized St. Petersburg artist, talented colorist and avant-garde artist, she gained knowledge about color relations in painting.
After studying and living in St. Petersburg, Russia, she lived in Asia, Cyprus, and Italy. Then she returned to Russia, moved from the big city to her house in nature. As it turned out, the native culture was the best way to promote creativity . She tried herself in different genres and perfected herself in them, looking for her artistic technique.
Her paintings are held in private collections around the world, attesting to the interest in her work. Over the past three years, Antonina has been actively developing in book illustration, collaborating with authors from different countries. This made it possible to improve drawing skills, gaining new skills in creating compositions.
Today, family and home are central to Pylaeva's life and work: raising three children and living in harmony with nature inspire her, giving her new impulses to work with landscape motifs, flowers, and portraits. The artist is passionate about plein-air painting, capturing natural motifs in their pristine beauty. It also develops a theme with mythological plots. Antonia Pylaeva's artwork continues to evolve, combining her multifaceted life experience of searching in the Russian tradition and in the traditions of other countries. The pursuit of artistic search continues.
Her art is a dialogue between tradition and modernity, eternal and temporary.
