Mikhail Bodrov (artistic pseudonym — Bezloska / Безлоска) is a Moscow-based artist and designer.
He began with Fedoskino lacquer miniature painting and iconography, then attended animation and cinematography school. His professional path went through industrial and architectural design: working with form, space, and material was closely intertwined with painting, which never ceased.
From classical painting — copies of Caravaggio, Kiprensky, Borovikovsky, Kramskoi — to abstraction, to which he has devoted the last ten years, and this is no accidental turn. He believes that abstract painting conveys more accurately and succinctly what cannot be captured in a recognizable image, providing the necessary amplitude of perception and mood. Whatever the tone of the work — it always carries a positive character. This is fundamental. He constantly monitors and masters new techniques — keeping only those that work.
Member of the professional artists' union.
