Vladimir Vorontsov is a painter and production designer of major mass theatrical performances. He was born on May 18, 1972, in Moscow. He graduated from the V.A. Serov Art School and received higher art education at the Art and Graphic Faculty of MGZPI in Moscow. He is a student of the painter Leonid Ksenofontovich Syrov. He is a member of the Creative Union of Professional Artists, the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, the Creative Union of Artists of Decorative and Applied Arts, and a member of the Russian Creative Union of Cultural Workers. He has been awarded a medal for merits in culture and art, as well as a letter of gratitude from the Minister of the Moscow Government and the head of the Department of Culture A.A. Fursin for his significant contribution to the development of the culture of the city of Moscow and many years of fruitful work.
He has participated in many exhibitions, including personal exhibitions of painting and graphics, regularly attends plein airs, and works in various painting styles.
For more than 30 years, he has worked as a production designer for mass theatrical performances. He collaborates with the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events under the Department of Culture of Moscow, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as well as with well-known producers and directors. He has developed over 500 large-scale scenographic projects for mass theatrical events in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Germany, China, France, Vietnam, Laos, the Baltic States, the UAE, and other countries, including key projects in Moscow on Red Square, Poklonnaya Hill, and other event venues.
Among the latest significant projects for 2024 and 2025 are the anniversary of A.N. Pakhmutova in Volgograd, the anniversary of A.S. Zatsepin at the State Kremlin Palace, Christmas meetings with Moscow Patriarch Kirill at the State Kremlin Palace, the Mayor’s Christmas Tree event at Gostiny Dvor, the Slavic Arts Festival Russian Field, the Cossack Village Festival, a concert in honor of the 80th anniversary of victory “Legacy of Victory. The Connection of Generations” featuring a performance by the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Yuryevich Vorobyov.
