In 1993, he graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Graphics at Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University in Saint Petersburg. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Parisian artists' union "Les Seize Anges." In 2011, Alexander won first place in the Italian contemporary art competition “Made in Russia” and subsequently represented contemporary Russian art in Milan as part of the "Year of Russia in Italy." In 2006, for works presented at the exhibition "250 Years of the Russian Academy of Arts" in Saint Petersburg, he was awarded a silver medal by the Russian Academy of Arts. In 2016, he received the "Grand Prize" and the "Jury Chairman's Prize" at the international competition “Art Revolution Taipei” in Taiwan. In 2018, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Union of Artists of Russia "Spirituality. Traditions. Mastery." In 2019, he won first place at the international Festival & Contest (Italy), which opened the "International Arts Days in Russia" (Italy - Russia) in Veliky Novgorod in February 2019. The artist's paintings are held in the collections of the State Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), the Museum of Nonconformist Art at the Art Center "Pushkinskaya 10" (Saint Petersburg), the State Novgorod Regional Museum-Reserve (Novgorod), the State Museum of Artistic Culture of the Novgorod Land (Novgorod), the Pskov State Museum-Reserve, and the Murmansk State Art Museum. Solo exhibitions have been held in Moscow, Paris, Beijing, Saint Petersburg, Helsinki, Friedrichstadt, Geneva, Nanterre, Bielefeld, Strasbourg, Lappeenranta, Taipei, Milan, Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, and Pskov.
