Tatyana Elistratova — a contemporary artist working in the field of figurative and expressive painting. She was born in Gomel, Belarus, and currently lives and works in Egypt.
She has a higher medical education, which influenced her deep interest in the body as a carrier of memory, emotions, and inner experience. In her artistic practice, she explores the connection between the physical and psychological states of a person, using the body as the main expressive tool.
Tatyana's works combine figurativeness and elements of abstraction, creating a visual language in which color, gesture, and composition convey inner states — from vulnerability to strength, from silence to the impulse of movement. Her artistic approach is based on intuitive work with color and form, where the feeling is more important than the narrative.
The artist develops several series, including The Shape of Silence, The Shape of Resilience, The Hidden Courage, The Invisible Script, Colours of the Night, and Instinct & Identity. Each series is dedicated to exploring different aspects of the human experience: identity, inner transformation, social roles, and intuitive self-expression.
In her practice, Tatyana strives to create a space for the viewer's personal response — a moment in which one can feel rather than analyze.
