“Fruits of Memory” is a painting for those who invest in recognized art. Part of the “Elusive Beauty” series created in Italy, this work explores the very nature of memory, where the real outlines of fruits dissolve, turning into a poetic and nostalgic image of a bygone summer.
“Fruits of Memory” is a still life woven from air and light. The juicy figs are slightly bruised, as if they have just been picked and are about to burst with ripeness. A bunch of amber grapes glows, saturated with the Mediterranean sun. The faded gray fabric resembles the wall of an old Italian villa. Blurred contours appear through the juicy color, like morning fog, leaving only a vague memory of the fruits of summer.
This intimate work, stylized to look antique thanks to sfumato and crackling, is framed in an exquisite setting: a wide wooden baguette, black velvet, and a brass plaque. Its entire appearance, from its miniature format to its impeccable finish, speaks to its high collectible value and is intended for connoisseurs who choose art as a timeless treasure.
