Malerei "Composition # 257"
2000 €
A vivid example of Iskan's minimalism.
Canvas on stretcher by the ARTICLE brand - Blue Line PROFI for painting in acrylic and oil.
Paints: “Old Holland” only one color - Caput Mortuum; all other paints are Italian “Maimeri Classico” - numbers 488, 020, 453, 53, 228, 081. They are recorded on the back of the painting. A gold-colored hanging wire is mounted on 3 of the 4 sides. On a whim I used not gold colored, but silver colored D-rings.
A comment to Iskan’s virtual exhibition by art critic Arka Otidoevskaya on 7 February 2022:
"Perhaps one of the most obvious advantages of Iskan's painting is his recognizability - his face, as they say. Modern abstractionists (and not only modern ones), in some cases, are very difficult to distinguish from each other, especially if they shared a teacher. It is not always easy to distinguish between Suetin and Chashnik. I easily put Iskan Ilyazov separate from a large number of abstractionists."
The second comment to this artwork at the virtual exhibition by art critic Arka Otidoevskaya:
"You have acquired the artistic optics, the biological gesture of the artist. I look forward to further transformations in dynamics, gradations, while maintaining your perfectionist techniques and unfailing recognizability."
Two quotes by Nadezhda Lebedeva:
"Do what you love, splash your sunny emotions on canvases and please people, and first of all -- yourself!"
“Iskan knows no limits in his creative search; his color solutions are always fresh, interesting, and often unexpected. The structure of Iskan's inner world can be read in his paintings. He manages to give the viewer the opportunity to look around with different eyes, with optics borrowed from the artist – and then the author’s artistic expression works; this essentially is the subject of the aspirations of a true artist. In some incomprehensible way, through his paintings Iskan first changes the viewer's perception and then the viewer's attitude to the world, and not only to the visible world, but also to the indirect world, because its powerful energy is involved.”
These were two quotes by Nadezhda Lebedeva, a full member of Peter the Great Academy of Sciences and Arts, exhibition curator, artist, public figure
