The painting "Winter in Laspi" is very personal to me. This place holds many memories—we often came here as a family, both in winter and summer, to walk along the shore, have picnics, and simply enjoy the solitude and beauty of one of the most picturesque bays. In winter, Laspi feels especially peaceful and quiet, with only the sound of the waves and the fresh sea air. Now, the very spot depicted in this painting is closed to visitors, and for me, this work became a way to preserve those dear memories and to share the atmosphere of solitude and endless natural beauty that I felt there.
In my works, I don’t use white paint or any paints that contain white pigment. All the white areas are simply the paper. I personally tested all my paints for lightfastness, so the colors will remain unchanged even after dozens of years.
