Guardians of the Shore is an imaginary story: on a distant, windy seacoast stands a small house where the lighthouse keeper lives with his family. Their home seems to guard the boundary between the raging sea and the peaceful land. Every day here begins with the sound of waves and the cries of seagulls—the faithful companions of this shore. Even in the harshest weather, people and nature steadfastly protect the peace and the hope for a bright new day.
In my works, I don’t use white paint or any paints that contain white pigment. All the white areas are simply the paper. I personally tested all my paints for lightfastness, so the colors will remain unchanged even after 50–70 years.
