In this optical illusion, like Fata Morgana, white castles in an Eastern style are born, reminiscent in shape of the Taj Mahal. They gently sway on the waves, as if floating upon a mirror reflecting the celestial firmament. The water sparkles with countless yellow and orange glimmers emanating from the light in the windows of these nonexistent temples. It seems that they emit not only light but also clouds of white incense rising to the heavens. Above the ghostly city, a huge blue moon rises, surrounded by the silhouettes of mountains. Its light, like fine threads of silver, permeates the entire painting, enveloping it in a mystical aura.
