I am glad to present you my new autumn still life. As strange as it may sound, but for me this autumn is associated with this still life. This September there is a large harvest of mushrooms. I picked a whole basket of porcini mushrooms and boletus. Of course, my first thought was: "God, how delicious I'll eat today." But then the voice in my head said: "Anastasia, you are not a cook, you are an artist. Take a brush and paint immediately!!" Then I thought, I wanted to depict mushrooms in some unusual way, so instead of a standard background I used old tapestry embroidery. It seemed to me that such a background would add decorativeness to the work, and the mushrooms seem to be woven into the overall pattern of the tapestry. Such interweaving of real mushrooms and conventional ornamentation on the background forms interesting rhythms. Although this picture is painted realistically, it still has a share of abstract rhythm and musicality of the composition.
