Everything is simpler than it might seem. It is very important that each artist finds his OWN painting, especially if his work does not always fit into the framework of habitual consciousness. Here, first of all, I am referring to the paintings of the surrealist trend. Surrealism is the only objective art form due to the fact that it is based on the subconscious mind. It just so happened (it had to happen!) that you ended up on this page and maybe you have something more than... Unfortunately, few people understand surrealism. As a rule, such people look at the picture and ask questions like, "What did you mean by that?" Nothing makes sense in this life except what meaning you give it. Surrealism is the dictate of imagination over common sense. It's all about what your mind is charged with. If it is not prepared, then we may not notice many things at all. He who has never seen an orange will not ask for an orange. It's like if a primitive man saw an inscription on a rock, he wouldn't attach any importance to it, for him it would just be some kind of spots and smudges. In general, everything is much simpler. A. Breton once said: - "Surrealism is all around usWhen I pick up the newspaper, I see wedding messages and photos and obituaries on one page. How is this not an example of surrealistic creativity?" And the songs? For example, Yu. Shevchuk (DDT Group) - "Whistled and fell on the table, ate a little and rolled down the ashes..." Sur? Sure, but it's a great song. And there are enough such examples. It is not always and not everywhere necessary to look for meaning. It is more important to feel the mood, to get an emotion, to see something of your own. Of course, many people are more accustomed to seeing a landscape with birch trees on their wall (this is generally normal if the painting is decent), but I guarantee that such a picture will start to slip past your attention after a short period of time and none of your friends will approach such a picture and start an interesting argument. Along with the surreal ones, other author's works are also posted. For the last few years, I have been painting copies of paintings by famous artists with great desire, and what is called "based on..." This work forces me (looking up to the great ones) to hone my skills, master the techniques and techniques of the old masters.
