My artwork comes from nature. I am inspired by the sky, the sea, the line of the horizon, by the dusks and dawns, by the curves of the mountains and of the female body. I generalize images, often reducing them to geometric shapes. I trust that the viewer recognizes them subconsciously, reading off their meanings and reconstructing the original picture in his imagination.
My art evokes positive feelings with pictures that are bright, balanced and charged with good energy. I make my viewers feel good with bright original abstract paintings that capture and inspire.
In this composition I explore minimalist iconography.
With the hard edges distinct and the colors bright, this painting looks ostensibly simple. I play with meaning, avoiding conceptual intricacies.
I strive to achieve maximum results through minimal means. My art is deeply rooted in the fundamentals of art history. At the same time, I maintain freedom from formal limitations. I prefer to keep my compositions simple in order to allow an implicit complexity of meaning to emerge freely.
I do my paintings on stretched gallery wrap canvas. There is no need to frame because the edges of all my artworks are painted.
Signed, titled, and dated on back. I sign my artworks on back, to avoid unbalancing the subtle composition by an artifact like a signature.
Ready to hang, wired with a steel cord. I provided hanging cords on all four sides of the picture because you may wish to hang it upside down or on the side – geometric abstraction is benign to orientation change.
