Alexander Ovechkin

Education

1983-1988 studied at the MSKH School under the V.I. Surikov Institute.

1988-1993 continued education and worked in the studio of academician, honored artist of the USSR N.V. Ovechkin, leading artist of the M.B. Grekov Studio.

1995 – Studied painting at the Zen school of the Austrian master Swami Deva Swarga. This was an interesting experience attempting to distance from realistic painting with its understanding of authorship toward the philosophical concept of Zen painting. It led to reflections on the possibility of interaction between European schools of fine arts and Eastern philosophy.

1994 - Participation in the exhibition «New Wave of Russian Realism» at the cultural and business center «Radisson-Slavyanskaya» (organized by the gallery «Olga»), painting.

2000 – Participation in the joint exhibition “Vodka con lemon” in Spain (organized by the gallery «Tais»), painting, catalog.

2003 - Participation in the exhibition «Impressions» (state exhibition hall «Solntsevo»), painting.

2006 – Organization and participation in the exhibition «Seven Valleys» at the state museum at the humanitarian center «Preodolenie» named after N.A. Ostrovsky (within the framework of the «International Decade for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence» UNESCO. Public Fund «Istoki»).

2012 - International Art Salon-2012, Central House of Artists, Exhibition "Unknown Model" as part of the creative association "Easel Photography XXI"

2013 - Participation in the photo exhibition "Beauty Without Glamour" at the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg, Stroganov Palace), as part of the creative association "Easel Photography XXI". (catalog)

2013 - Participation in the joint exhibition "Art-Raccord" (organized by Raccord Group Company, LLS (Russia), Union of Artists of the Republic of Armenia, Raccord Armenia Company (as part of the creative association "Easel Photography XXI")) in Yerevan.

2014 - Exhibition «Unknown Model» as part of the creative association «Easel Photography XXI» at the Gallery of Classical Photography.

2015 - Exhibition at the "Gallery of Classical Photography".

2018 — Solo exhibition at the «Gallery» club (organized by the creative community of photographers «Fiksazh», Sergey Kovalchuk), catalog.

2019 — Joint exhibition «Unknown Model» in Kaluga (organized by the gallery «Pro Arts»).

2020 - Joint exhibition "Fiksazh" at the New Tretyakov Gallery.

2020 - Participation as part of the creative association "Easel Photography XXI" in Odessa, Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art - exhibition "Phantoms".
