Vladimir Georgievich GREMITSKIKH was born on December 14, 1916, in Novonikolayevsk (Novosibirsk).
From 1932 to 1936, he studied at the Moscow Art School named after 1905 under Konstantin Klaudianovich Zefirov, and later under Mikhail Sokolov.
From 1936 to 1942 (with a break for the front), he studied at the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov under such renowned masters as Pyotr Dmitrievich Pokarzhevsky, Vasily Vasilyevich Pochitalov, Igor Emmanuilovich Grabar, and Sergey Vasilyevich Gerasimov, in whose workshop Vladimir Gremitskikh completed the institute.
I.E. Grabar and S.V. Gerasimov singled out V. Gremitskikh as one of the most talented students in the course.
The works of V.G. Gremitskikh are held in 32 museums across the Russian Federation: in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of the Defense of Moscow, the State Literary Museum (Moscow), the State Museum and Exhibition Center "ROSIZO" (Moscow), the Vologda Regional Art Gallery, the Krasnoyarsk, Kaliningrad, Sakhalin, Samara, Tomsk, Tesinsky (Krasnoyarsk Territory), Bryansk, Chuvash, Bashkir, and Starooskolsky (Belgorod Region) art museums, in the historical and art museum of the city of Stakhanov, in the Republican Museum of Fine Arts in Yoshkar-Ola, in the City Art Gallery "Vernissage" in Nakhodka, in the Salsk Museum named after the People's Artist V.K.
