Malerei "Composition # 178"

Once I did Industrial. Why not? I liked it! Looks great in spacious offices, hotel lobbies, on gallery and museum walls.
This painting was featured in a book about my abstract art.
In a way, this is a typical picture for me because I do hard-edge abstract, usually geometrical. When doing this painting, I was in quest for chromatic harmony and color appeal. This is an abstracted rendition of beaches on the French Riviera, with palm trees in Antibes; not of an industrial site. The painting has a great sense of space to it.
The picture was painted in Maimeri Classico Italian oils on linen canvas. Heavy paint was done with paintbrushes not knife. The sides are painted. The painting is wired and ready to hang. Edges are staple-free for perfect frameless presentation. The linen canvas is back-stapled to kiln-dried pine stretcher bars. The hanging wiring is fixed on two of the four sides of the stretcher; I think it is cool to give the customer more choice to hang the picture on the side.
Sturdy stretcher with cross-bars, the linen is primed not in acrylic but in oil emulsion in three layers, on top of three layers of sizing. The stretcher is cross-braced for additional strength and homogenous tension in the canvas and on the stretcher frame. A sufficient number of keys are included for eventual minor tension adjustments over time.
My paintings are painted with Italian eco–friendly oil paints Maimeri Classico on canvas made of pure Russian linen without use of solvents or any chemicals - only linen, linseed oil and pigments. I paint only in pure oil paints, without additives, thickeners, mediums. I've never used any chemicals and never will!
All my paintings are ready to hang with professional gold colored craft hanging wire (Holland) mounted in D-ring hangers (Holland) on all intended sides. The image is continued on the edges (gallery canvas stretching), thus a frame is not needed, it is optional.
The original painting is signed by monogram, titled and dated on the back and is accompanied by my personal certificate of authenticity.
